About Pantheon

Pantheon is a raiding progression guild on Blackrock (Horde) that prides itself on maintaining a steady discipline of progress through new end-game content while maintaining a fun casual atmosphere in which friendships can be made and members can relax and enjoy each other’s company.  We are a family-oriented guild so we ask those that join us to maintain respect for others and moderate their language and behavior to that which is conducive to a family-centric atmosphere.  Our policy is that real life does take precedence over “a game” but also that raiding is a commitment which should be honored under normal circumstances.  For this reason we raid less than traditional end-game guilds but we do focus more on taking extra time in individual preparation and efficiently using the time we do have during raids.  Our attendance requirements are smaller than traditional end-game raiding guilds but we also offset this by having more raiders available for each raid.  Our most dedicated raiders are awarded with the most loot and rare mounts and the first available raid positions.  We believe that attendance, awareness, attitude, and ability are the necessary components of a successful raid and a successful guild.  For this reason we seek to recruit raiders that have a good positive attitude that can consistently attend raids and that possess a great ability to play their role with keen awareness of their surroundings.

If you are interested in joining us please contact one of our officers (Machotedan, Eradan, Dankenstein, Constince, Dromm, or Okhotnik) and post an application on our forums.

The 3 Laws:

1. No Vulgarity- We are a tight, well-behaved and mature group of people here. There is no reason for vulgar language.

2. Respect- Respect your fellow guild mates.

3. Have Fun- This is a game not life. Know when to be serious about stuff and when to have fun. making the distinction will make the experience that much more enjoyable.

Guild Rank Structure

Initiate
The Initiate ranking is more of a trial run in the guild. During this period the guild will be able to observe and determine whether or not you will make a good addition to the guild and raid team. After 2 full weeks of 100% percent attendance, consistent performance, and a consistently good attitude, you will be promoted to the Raider ranking. If at this rank you are inconsistent in making raids and are not progressing toward Veteran you will be demoted to member. All initiates (and raiders and veterans) are expected to have Teamspeak and a mic and talk on that mic when requested to call out things.

Raider
The Raider ranking means you are on your way to becoming a full time raider and the Officers and Guild Masters like what they have seen so far. Raiders have raid spot priority over initiates, but not over Veterans. You also gain main spec priority on loot over initiates but once again, not over Veterans. After 2 full weeks worth of raid attendances as a Raider with consistent performance, a good attitude and maintaining a 80% overall attendance (over a 30 day period) you will be promoted to the Veteran Rank.  If at this rank you are inconsistent in making raids and are not progressing toward Veteran you will be demoted to member.

Veteran
The Veteran rank is our rank given to our best raiders. This means you have finally reached the goal that the guild set out for you to reach. You now have loot and raid spot priority over raiders and initiates. With all these perks of being the highest ranked raider you also have more that you must keep up with in order to maintain your Veteran status. You must maintain a 80% attendance in a 30 day period to keep your Veteran status. If you do not meet this requirement you will be demoted to raider status. If you return and you are able to get your attendance back up above 80% percent in a 30 day period, you will be able to receive your Veteran spot back. If you are gone for too long and we do not hear from you, your spot will be replaced. If you miss a raid without notifying anyone you will be docked 3 EP and you will count as missing 2 raids (attendance-wise).  If you are demoted to a raider and continue missing raids you will be demoted to member.

EPGP  (Effort Points/Gear Points)
Here in Pantheon we use a version of EPGP to determine loot distribution. In our version of EPGP your "EPGP Ratio" is what we use to determine whether or not a specific person wins the loot. Your ratio is determined by the following equation:

EP Earned / Items Earned (GP) = EPGP RATIO
(Example: 200 EP Earned and you have won 20 items = 200/10 = 20 for your EPGP ratio)

How to Earn EP:
EP is earned in 3 ways:

1. You earn 1 EP for each full hour of raiding.
2. You earn another EP for being on time.
3. You earn another EP for being fully prepared (the BEST Food, Flask, Full Enchants, Gems, Knowledge of the fights, Vp capped)

EP is also earned on standby. Meaning, even if you aren't there in the raid, but you are waiting to sub in at a moment's notice, you can still earn full EP for the night.

There will be a minus 3 EP penalty for missing a raid if you fail to notify an officer that you will not be able to attend at least 1 hour before the raid start time.  Notification must be given 1 hour in advance or the EP and attendance will still be docked.

EPGP ratio is determined by taking the EP you've earned and dividing it by the items you've received in raids for your main spec (this includes items you get from bonus rolls to keep ratios even and to make sure people try not to cheat the system by getting all their items on rolls - it may be your coin but it's a team effort to down the boss and give you that shot at a bonus item).  EP ratio determines loot priority as explained below.

If you receive an item for your main spec that is a sidegrade (same ilvl as what you are already wearing) this does not count as an item that will affect your EPGP ratio.  The exception is when others want the loot for their main spec in which it's not a sidegrade but an upgrade for them.  2H weapons count as 2 items when determining EPGP ratio (Basicallly all mainspec non-sidegrade items count as 1 GP except for 2h which counts as 2 GP).

EPGP Wipe

If at anytime you become inactive for more than 2 months your EPGP will be wiped from the spreadsheet. This means you will have to start over with earning your EPGP.

Note: EPGP will be reset at the beginning of every expansion.

EPGP usually has a soft reset at the start of each major patch (not a complete reset)

Every new raider starts out with 1 GP (as to not have an infinite EPGP ratio)

Raid Spot & Loot Priority
In Pantheon we have a raid spot & loot priority we like to follow to make things fair for everyone. We believe that if you have put more time and commitment into the raid team and guild you should be rewarded by first pick at the loot you want and have a priority over others for a Raid Spot.

Our Raid Spot & loot priority goes as follows:

1. Veteran Main Spec Items
2. Raider Main Spec Items
3. Initiate Main Spec Items
4. Veteran Off Spec Items
5. Raider Off Spec Items
6. Initiate Off Spec Items
7. Non-Raiders (i.e. Friends and Family)

In the case that 2 people want the same item for main spec and they are both of the same rank the Loot Master in the raid at the time will refer to the 2 members' EPGP Ratio (and also consider their current gear) to determine who wins.

The officers reserve the right to override EPGP priority and award loot to raiders per officer prerogative. This will happen on occasion to benefit the raid as a whole but not often.

Since we are a tight-knit guild, we like to encourage raiders to use their best discretion when needing on items. If you know that a fellow raider could benefit more from an item that you also want, we encourage you to pass it to them. Nobody likes a loot whore :).

Conversely, raiders are not allowed to hoard their EPGP by refusing to accept gear upgrades. If an item drops that benefits a raider, they must accept the item and cannot refuse it in order to save up for a different item.

Rare Mount and Pet Roll Requirements

In Pantheon we want the rare mounts that we obtain to stay within the guild. We want the rare items we earn to be be a part of our guild so that we can show the people of Blackrock the accomplishments we have made. To do this we abide by the following loot rules for rare mounts:

-You must be a veteran. We feel that veterans are the ones who have proved that they are here to stay and that they deserve to be able to earn a mount over members and initiates.

-Determined by EP- The NEW way we will determine who gets the mount that drops is by who ever has the HIGHEST TOTAL EP EARNED (not EPGP ratio). This is not your EPGP ratio but the amount of EP you have earned by showing up and being prepared.

-"Only One". The "Only One" rule just states that a veteran may only obtain one rare mount per expansion (expansion NOT patch) before another veteran obtains a rare mount. Once all veterans have received a mount in the expansion we will restart.

For example: If "veteran A" receives a mount while in a main run raid, he or she may not receive another rare mount until all the other veterans of the Pantheon raid group have received a mount from the main run.

This way we can make sure no one is left out and everyone (veterans) that wants a mount and/or pet gets one.
